technique MISAR®
Minimally Invasive Stapled Abdominal Reconstruction (MISAR) is an advanced surgical technique that utilizes small incisions and miniaturized instruments to repair the abdominal wall.
This technique offers numerous advantages over traditional surgical methods, including:
- Reduced Scarring: Thanks to smaller incisions, patients experience less visible scarring.
- Faster Recovery: Patients can recover more quickly, reducing hospital stay duration.
- Less Post-Operative Pain: The MISAR technique minimizes post-operative pain due to its smaller incisions and lower invasiveness.
- Greater Precision: Miniaturized instruments allow for increased accuracy during surgery.
- Lower Risk of Recurrence: The technique helps reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
rational
The course is designed to provide advanced training in the MISAR technique, enhancing surgical skills and expanding the ability to treat patients with abdominal wall conditions.
Through a combination of theoretical lectures and practical exercises in the operating room, the course aims to:
- Update Skills: Provide the latest innovations and techniques in abdominal wall surgery.
- Improve Clinical Effectiveness: Enhance the efficiency of surgical procedures, reducing recovery time and improving patient outcomes.
- Promote Collaboration: Foster cooperation among experienced surgeons and specialists in minimally invasive techniques, creating a network of knowledge and expertise.

teacher
Dr. Gabriele Manetti is the creator of the miSAR® (Minimally Invasive Stapled Abdominal Reconstruction) technique, specific for the reconstruction of the midline of the abdominal wall.
He teaches several courses aimed at surgeons to illustrate his miSAR® technique. For example, in January 2023 and March 2024 he held training courses at the IRCAD center in Strasbourg, with excellent feedback from the participating doctors.
